The Med-Surg/Rehab/Pediatrics Float RN is responsible to the Third Floor Director, and is to be clinically competent; delivers care to patients utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation; and effectively interacts with patients, significant others, and other health care team members while maintaining standards of professional nursing. This staff member is given specific patient assignments as needed to meet patient care needs.
*Complies with Penn Highlands DuBois policies and procedures, accreditation agency requirements, and federal, state or local law and regulations
*Uses the nursing process in the delivery of care as evidenced by but not limited to:
*Demonstrates critical thinking and clinical competency in the delivery of patient care as evidenced by but not limited to:
*Manages patient teaching and discharge planning as evidenced by but not limited to:
*Participates in the development of new staff as evidenced by but not limited to:
*Demonstrates professional accountability as evidenced by but not limited to:
Unit Specific Duties
*Maintains Healthcare Provider and ACLS certifications
Current Pennsylvania Registered Nurse license or Temporary Practice Permit required
One year current Med/Surg, Rehab or Pediatrics experience required
Current Healthcare Provider (CPR) certification required
ACLS certification required within 6 months of start date in department/position
**Will work every third weekend
**Will work three holidays per year
**$1,000.00 quarterly bonus
