    THE OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST USES OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY ASSESSMENT AND EVALUATION TECHNIQUES TO DETERMINE THE PATIENT’S ASSETS AND LIMITATIONS, ESTABLISH GOALS, AND PLAN AGE-APPROPRIATE OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY TREATMENT IN COLORATION WITH THE PATIENT/FAMILY AND TREATMENT TEAM MEMBERS.

    Responsibilities

    *Complies with PENN HIGHLANDS DUBOIS policies and procedures, accreditation agency requirements, and federal, state or local law and regulations

     
    Perform occupational therapy interview and evaluation using standardized and non standardize test; interpret data, document results and plan treatment based on finding

     
    Using occupational therapy evaluation results, and in collaboration with the patient and team members, determine the patient’s assets and limitations, establish goals, and plan age appropriate Occupational Therapy treatment

     
    Implement the treatment plan using meaningful goal-directed activity in a therapeutic environment in order to achieve optimum level of function

     

     
    Completes billing attendance and other records as required.

     

     
    Plan for discharge of patient in a timely manner by providing assessment and recommendations

     

     

     
    Supervises and effectively utilize support personnel and students

     

     
    Contribute to departmental and hospital program development and evaluation

     

     
    Responsible to develop clinical competence/specialty in chosen appointed area

     
    Other duties as directed.

     

    Qualifications

    • Completion of clinical and diactic requirement from Occupational Therapy program required.
    • Licensed or temporarily licensed as Occupational Therapist in Pennsylvania required.
    • Successful completion of FIMA within 6 months of start date in working in rehabiliation center.
    • Healthcare Provider CPR certification through the American Heart Association within 12 months required
