The Registered Nurse is responsible to the Department Director, and is to be clinically competent; delivers care to patients utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation; and effectively interacts with patients, significant others, and other health care team members while maintaining standards of professional nursing.
*Complies with Penn Highlands DuBois policies and procedures, accreditation agency requirements, and federal, state or local law and regulations
*Demonstrates knowledge of age-related needs of the patient; utilizes the nursing process on a continuous basis in the delivery of care as evidenced by but not limited to:
*Demonstrates judgment and clinical competency in the implementation of patient care for assigned patients as evidenced by but not limited to:
*Participates in the development of new staff as evidenced by but not limited to:
*Demonstrates professional accountability as evidenced by but not limited to:
Unit Specific Duties
*Demonstrates knowledge of Anesthesia agents and administration techniques with resulting patient response
*Maintains Healthcare Provider (BLS), ACLS, and PALS certifications
